A new look syllabus has been designed by Celtic’s senior Celtic Youth Academy Coach Stevie Woods. The one-hour weekly sessions at venues all across Scotland will take the form of a warm-up, handling practice, shot stopping, positioning, distribution, and communicating with defenders, amongst other things.
Celtic Community Academy - Boys
The Celtic Community Academy provides boys aged 5 to 12 with a platform to showcase their skills at their local centre, as well as an opportunity to play regular small-sided games against other centres at the weekend. If, during training and in the games a player shows potential, he’ll be invited to join a Centre of Excellence . . . and who knows? The next step could be an invitation to join one of our seven Development Centres situated throughout Scotland or the Youth Academy itself. The Community programme has progresses over 300 players in to the Clubs Development Centre programme for talented players and 8 in to the Celtic Youth Academy. This new improved structure will provide more opportunities for talented players to be talent spotted by our scouts who will attend the games programme.
